ITINERARY DETAILS

 Day 1 : Arrive at Marrakech & transfer to your hotel

Our tour start in the morning with a pickup from your place of stay or the airport. Day 1 of our 7 Days of the tour, by driving you to the hotel where to spend the night and take a rest.

 Day 2 : Marrakech – Dades Gorges

Commence in the morning with a drive-by Ouarzazate and several Berber villages that are known for the big palm trees, the Kasbahs, and the Ksours. Arrive at the gorges of Dades where to spend the night.

 Day 3 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges- Merzouga

Take your breakfast, and ride over the Dades Gorges before start driving to Merzouga. We’ll be driving to the gorges of Todra, they are spectacular limestone river canyons to discover and appreciate its beauty. Continue via the town of Tinejdad, Touroug, and Erfoud for a delicious Berber pizza of Medfouna. Pass by the panoramic valley- Ziz- on the way to a place where we are going to stay the night -Merzouga Desert.

 Day 4 : Sahara Desert Tour 4×4 Around Merzouga – Camel Ride Night in Desert

Commence the trip in the morning, but today we are not leaving Merzouga. We’ll rather visit the area along with the “Gnaoua” village -Khamlia-. Meet Gnaoua people that are known for their unique type of music where drums are an essential tool they are using. Experience climbing in the top of the camels to ride over Erg Chebbi camp at the high dunes watching the sunset and getting ready to spend a night in the camp yurts.

 Day 5 : Merzouga – Ouarzazate

When the sun is rising at the top high dunes, it creates a magical scenery worth to wake up earlier to observe it. Take your breakfast and go with the camels to the hotel for a shower and then continue to Todra Gorges. They are spectacular limestone river canyons to discover and appreciate its beauty. Proceed to see the lovely beauty of the Dades Gorges, and after taking lunch, we will be driving by the oasis of Skoura and observe the palm trees and the Kasbahs that surround along the oasis, to finally arrive in Ouarzazate seeing the Taourirt Kasbah and the Atlas studios before spending the night at this Hollywood city of Morocco.

Day 6 : Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech

Morning departure, to see Ait Ben Haddou, which is a well-known castle that was belonged to the Glaoui Pasha. A Kasbah which represents a great example of a remaining historical spot that is why it was one of the multiple sites at the -UNESCO World Heritage list-. from the city –Ouarzazate- to Marrakesh via the Atlas High Mountains, where the tour driver will pick you wherever you wanted to go at the end of the tour.

 Day 7 : Marrakech – Transfer to Airport

ITINERARY DETAILS

 Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Dades valley

After lunch we’ll enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes and historical monuments of Taourirt Kasbah in Ourzazate and the Valley of the Roses, famous for its annual Festival of Roses. We’ll afterwards, pass through the Berber villages of El Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalene du Dades by the Valley, where we will spend the night.

 Day 2 : Dades Valley – Erg Chebbi Desert via Todra Gorge

leaving Boumalene Dades after breakfast, we will head to Merzouga passing through the Berber village of Tinghir and the Todra Gorge where the canyons dominate the skyline. We will then pass through several towns along the route, stopping for lunch at either Tinjdad, or Rissani in Tafilalet region, famous for serving the Berber pizza. After lunch we will make our way to Merzouga to start our camel trek. You will have a short rest with tea, then your luggage will be left in safe rooms at the hotel.

The 90 minute of camel trekking will take you to a Nomadic camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, the highest in North Africa. The camp consists of a chain of tents equipped with mattresses and linen, a restaurant, a kitchen and toilet. During evening, you will have dinner and entertainment performed by Local staff around the camp fire.

 Day 3 : Explore Erg Chebbi Desert – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Desert

A full day in the Sahara Desert is scheduled to explore the Desert features,! First You’ll move to neighboring Berber village of the Sahara, called Khamlia, to listen and watch the Gnaoua music performed by local bands. Continue through to see the nomads of the desert under their tents. Then we will drive offroad to experience the wonderful Sahara sceneries. In the evening you’ll be back to your hotel, and from there you will ride on your camel deep into the dunes of Erg Chebbi & spend the night in berber tents.

 Day 4 : Erg Chebbi Desert – Fez

You’ll wake up early to attend the sunrise spectacle, then riding back the camels After having breakfast, we leave Erg Chebbi to the north passing by the Ziz Valley and the Mid Atlas Mountains up to Fez. On our way, we will stop frequently to appreciate the Rocky mountains and plain areas. We will pause in Azrou to see the North Africa Monkeys on the wild inside a Cedar Forest. We arrive to Fez, and check in your

 Day 5 : Explore fes – Volubilis – Mekns – Fes

After your breakfast in the riad, our journey will start towards volubilis, then driving forth via villages Volubilis embodies the roman ruins and presents a unique archaeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes city, an imperial city in the 17th century, where we will hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, bab el mansour. Then we continue to Fes where

 Day 6 : Fez – Chefchaouen (Blue city)

We will drive to the north of Morocco through the Rif Mountains, arriving at Chefchaouen. A typical blue town by the mountains. The evening will be dedicated to exploring the simply but beautiful city of Chefchaouen where everything is set dramatically against the mountains. Things to see among many are the blue-tinted houses and cobbled streets with mountainous backdrop which create a photographic setting. Spend the night in a riad.

The road trip starts by driving towards Kasbah Aitbenhadou via the highest pass in Africa Tizi N’ Tichka (Altitude 2260 m ) while enjoying the super views of the giant High Atlas Mountains with the panoramic Berber villages. We continue the journey to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Aït Benhaddou. Situated on a hill along the Ouarzazate River, This beautiful example of southern Moroccan architecture has been used as a backdrop for over 20 famous movies including Lawrence of Arabia, Game of thrones, The Mummy, and Gladiator. We pass by Ouarzazat one major Berber city in southern Morocco known as the Hollywood of Africa and by the rose valley and overnight in a hotel in the Dades Gorges.

 Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges-Erfoud –  Rissani – Merzouga (desert camp)

After breakfast in your hotel we leave the Dades gorges and head to Todra gorges Gorge via Tinghir and the lush valley of Todra where you will have a little hike along the narrow and high cliffs of Todra. Aftwards, we contiue to Merzouga via the dramatic stony desert and the palmeries of Erfoud (capital of the fossiles) and Rissani known for its largest market in the south. In the afternoon we arrive to Merzouga desert where you get ready and accompanied by a camelguide to go for an authentic camel trek experience of around 90 minutes where you can catch the sunset in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend a memorable night with millions of shiny stars, enjoy a Berber dinner, drum party and sleep in a traditional nomadic tent.

 Day 3 : Merzouga- Alnif – Tazarine – Agdz – Ouarzazate

After an early wake up to watch the sunrise, you will ride your camels back to your hotel for taking a shower and eat breakfast. Next we will drive to Ourzazat through the range of the dramatic Anti Atlas mountains passing by Alnif which is famous the Henna groves and Agdz a small town located at shore of the Draa River that is considered the longest in Moocco. Afterwards we will cross the Tizi N’Tinifift pass (Altitude 1460m) and arrive to Ouarzazat. Overnight in a hotel.

 Day 4 : Ouarzazat – Ait benHaddou – Telouet – Marrakech

Half of the fourth day is devoted to explore Ouarzazat one major Berber city in southern Morocco known as the Hollywood of Africa. You will start by visiting the Atlas studios the city’s main attraction where famous movies were made such as : Star Wars, Babel, The way back …Next is an other visit to Kasbah Taourirt or the old city of Ouarzazar which was the essential residence of the Pacha of Marrakech in the south. After lunch in Ouarzazat we continue by the High Atlas mountains to reach the fertile and rich village of Telouet or the Glaoui’s home-town where you can discover the salt mines, then arrive back to Marrakech and drop off aprox at 07:00 pm.

Drop off in Fez at 6 pm apx where the tour ends.

ITINERARY DETAILS

 Day 1 : Arrive Marrakech and check into your hotel

Upon arrival, we will pick you up and drive you to your riad in the Medina.

 Day 2 : Exploring Marrakech Sightseeing

After breakfast in the riad , you can start exploring Marrakech “the red city of Morocco”. Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Bahia Palace and the Ben Youssef Coranique school. Today, you will also walk the souks and enjoy the fascinating colours and the wonderful smells. Lunch at a restaurant near the square, then in the afternoon you will visit the Majorelle Gardens, and the Koutoubia Tower.

 Day 3 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech

After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Essaouira, “Mogador”. Just before you get to Essaouira and since this is the land of the “Argan culture”, you will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for better food they can’t find on the ground. Here you will have the opportunity to visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties. Get to Essaouira around 11 am and then start our exploration of the city; You’ll visit the Skala Fortress; see Thuya wood carved by artisans; walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts.

Essaouira knew many civilisations – including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture – however, it remains a small village with much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantics”. Our visit includes the Mellah – the Jewish headquarter, and the beach. There is an annual festival of “Gnawa music”, where many musical groups come from different parts of Africa and the world. Today you will have lunch in a Moroccan way: bought fishes cooked to order, a very authentic experience. After that you will have some free time before we drive you back to Marrakech.

 Day 4 : Marrakech – Tichka Pass – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Dades Valley

After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Ouarzazate and the Dades Valley via the Tichka Pass and over the High Atlas Mountains. Today you will enjoy travelling through the dramatic road of the pass and the fascinating views over the Berber villages and the amazing landscape changing as the day progresses. Your first stop will be at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco. Built by the last Berber chieftain El Glaoui Et-Hami in the late 19th century, it is now a UNESCO matrimonial historical site, which today still houses many Glaoui family members. Lunch by the Kasbah and continue to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”.

After lunch, travel to the Dades Gorge through the road of “the Thousand Kasbahs”, which offers many fine photo opportunities of nature and people. We’ll get to Kalaat Mgouna – famous for roses and its annual festival during the roses harvest in May – visit the Berber Souk of Kalaat Mgouna, then continue to Bouthaghrar along the Rose valley. On to the Dades Valley where you will enjoy seeing the amazing rock formation famous as “the monkey toes”.

 Day 5 : Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga

After breakfast in the hotel, you will start travelling to Merzouga via the Todra Gorge and the small towns of Erfoud and Rissani. In Todra valley you will enjoy the panoramic views of the old mud Berber villages overlooking the valley. At Todra Gorge, You will have the opportunity to walk under the 300m high red cliff, popular with many rock-climbers. Here you will have time for an hour’s hiking within the valley.

Afterwards, you will continue our trip to Erfoud and Rissani where we have lunch; afterwards, we leave for the village of Merzouga – After a welcoming glass of mint tea, you will check in to your riad.

 Day 6 : Merzouga the Sahara desert

After breakfast in your riad, you will start an explorative journey of the area before you camel trek and spend the night at the desert camp. Today, you’ll visit the Gnawa people, originally slaves brought from Sudan, to experience their music and culture. Not far away there’s the lake of Merzouga, with its bird populations, depending on the season. You will also visit the authentic souk of Rissani, Here you will walk the souks , viewing vegetable , dates, crafts and animals.

If time permits it, you may also visit the nomad wire house where many Berber handicrafts are priced lower than in the big cities. In the afternoon, you will mount your camel and trek within the sand sea of Merzouga, in time to enjoy the sunset before you have dinner in the camp where you spend the night.

 Day 7 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Fes

Early in the morning we will wake you up to watch what well may be the best sunrise of your life. You’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. Over the dunes, you couldn’t fail to appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes – changing with the light as the day progresses.

After breakfast in your riad, you will start travelling to Fes via the Ziz Valley and Azrou. You will enjoy the fascinating landscape along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, and through the Tizi n’Talghamt Pass to Midelt. Stop in Zaida to enjoy a barbecue and refreshment with a glass of mint tea then continue our journey to Fes. You will stop at the Cedar Forest, on the Midlle Atlas Mountains where you will see the Barbarian apes in the wild. Get to Fes at the end of the day and check in to your riad.

 Day 8 : Explore Fes imperial City

Most of the morning will be spent visiting the medina (the old city) and its alleys. You will start with a walking tour within the narrow labyrinth streets, visiting the famous old Tanneries , and then the Quaraouine Mosque and University , the Attarin Medersa and the Najjarin Fountain. After lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant in the Medina, we will pick you up and drive to the old Jewish quarter and the Royal palace gate yard, where you will learn about the Jewish history in Morocco. Your visit includes the tile art factory and then a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes

 Day 9 : Fes Medina – Meknes – Rabat Imperial City

After breakfast in your riad you will start travelling to Rabat via Volubilis and Meknes. Your journey will be over the Rif Mountains and the foothills of Zgouta. You will get to Volubilis, the well preserved Roman Empire in North Africa, dating to 25BC, where you will see the most beautiful Mosaics in Morocco dating back to 3rd century BC. Here you will learn a lot about the Roman occupation and culture in Morocco. Afterwards, your journey continues to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco; here you will see the fascinating gate Bab Mansour built by the sultan My Ismail, the royal granary and the Sahrij Souani basin used for irrigation and plantation. After some free time wandering in the Lahdim square , you will continue to Rabat via the highway.

 Day 10 : Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

After breakfast we will visit Rabat’s historical monuments, Kasbah Oudaya and Hassan Towerand then we drive to the biggest city in Morocco, Casablanca city, the economical capital of Morocco, including a visit to Hassan the Second Mosque with its tallest minaret in the world. Continue our way to join the red city of Marrakesh. Overnight in a riad near Jamaa el fanaa square. End of your Morocco grand tour.
